SEIA Regional Airport officials are asking for the same level of funding from Des Moines County Officials as last year. Airport Director Sara Sandburg tells the Board of Supervisors that passenger enplanements have returned to levels seen before the COVID-19 pandemic following a change in commercial airline service to Contour Airways last year. The new carrier began operations on July 1. Contour operates 12 roundtrip flights each week between Burlington and Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. The airport is requesting $27,500.
