Efforts by attorneys and the public to slow down wind turbine development in Des Moines County were at the center of discussion at a County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday. The Hawk Eye reports that Kyler Massner, an attorney with the Cray Law Firm spoke saying an ordinance passed earlier this month governing the construction of turbines is lacking. Members of the public want to see changes made to that ordinance and the moratorium on turbine construction extended.
