Keokuk Mayor Mark Smidt says they still have a little over $130 thousand dollars left to cut out of the city budget in order to make up for a $1.686 million deficit to the city’s general fund. In a Thursday meeting council members approved cuts to the Keokuk Aquatic Center, George M. Verity riverboat museum, and Public Library. There’s another meeting scheduled for this Thursday.
