The community will be allowed to take one last look at Burlington’s James Madison Middle School before its demolition later this year. The Burlington Community School Board discussed plans for the demolition of the building this week. District officials announced an online auction for items from the building will run from March 5 through March 12. The building will be open March 6 from noon to 5 p.m., allowing community members to view auction items or walk through the facility before demolition. A second auction will be held closer to the demolition date. The building will also be open to the public on April 6 for a final community visit ahead of demolition.
