
Gas prices across Iowa continued to climb over the past week.
According to a new survey from GasBuddy, the average price for gasoline in Iowa rose 16.5 cents per gallon in the last week, bringing the statewide average to $3.34 per gallon.
Prices are now 89.2 cents higher than a month ago and 47.1 cents higher than this time last year.
GasBuddy says the cheapest station in Iowa yesterday was selling gas for $2.80 per gallon, while the most expensive was $3.79, a difference of 99 cents per gallon.
Nationwide, the average price of gasoline rose 23.2 cents in the past week to $3.68 per gallon. That’s 80 cents higher than a month ago and 66.1 cents higher than a year ago.
