
Gas prices across Iowa are climbing sharply, rising 19.1 cents over the past week to an average of $3.48 per gallon, according to GasBuddy.
That’s 33.7 cents higher than a month ago and nearly 40 cents higher than this time last year. Diesel prices are also on the rise, up 20.7 cents nationally in the past week to $5.576 per gallon. Across Iowa, prices ranged from a low of $2.89 to a high of $4.46 per gallon.
Nationally, gas prices increased 11.8 cents in the past week to an average of $4.06 per gallon—up 65.1 cents from a month ago and 85 cents higher than a year ago.
