Floodwaters from the Mississippi River have reached the north parking lot at the Port of Burlington, covering access to the north boat ramp and nearby walkways.

As of Tuesday night, the river level in Burlington was measured at 17.3 feet and is forecast to crest at 17.5 feet Thursday evening.

The rising water has made portions of the riverfront inaccessible, particularly around the north ramp area, as seasonal flooding continues along the Mississippi, driven by heavy rain in the upper midwest.
