Authorities in Henry County say a reported bomb threat at the Mount Pleasant Walmart Distribution Center Wednesday afternoon appeared to be a hoax. Emergency crews were dispatched to the facility at approximately 3:40 p.m. Wednesday afternoon after a report of a bomb threat. The Mount Pleasant Police Department, along with the Mount Pleasant Fire Department, responded to the scene and were assisted by the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, and the Iowa State Patrol. Authorities say there is no ongoing threat to the public, but the incident does remain under investigation.
