Wednesday morning the Macomb Fire Department was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving a fully loaded concrete truck at University and Lafayette Streets. Crews arrived in less than 4 minutes and discovered the driver was entrapped. Utilizing extrication tools, they removed the roof from the truck and turned over the patient to the awaiting Lifeguard Ambulance Service of Illinois staff. The crew stood by while the concrete truck was dismantled to safely remove it from the roadway.
