The trial for a Burlington man accused of murdering a local D.J. on Christmas night 2024 has been rescheduled for October. Eric Rios is charged with first-degree murder for the shooting death of Anthony “D.J. Ant Bomb” Campbell. The Hawkeye reports that Rios’ trial was scheduled to begin on May 5 at the Des Moines County Courthouse. On April 27, District Eight Judge Joshua Schier granted a motion from Assistant Attorney General Nicole Leonard to continue the trial. Rios’ next pretrial conference is scheduled to be held at 2:30 p.m. Sept. 28 at the Des Moines County Courthouse. His jury trial is scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. Oct. 27.
