Lee County Auditor’s Office announced additional early voting opportunities for residents in the Lee County and Keokuk area through a special satellite voting event scheduled for May 26 through May 29.

Election officials said the temporary satellite voting site is designed to give voters a more convenient option for casting ballots ahead of Election Day and help reduce wait times at polling places.

The satellite voting location will be open Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 25 N. Seventh Street in Keokuk.

Officials reminded voters that all participants must declare either the Democratic or Republican Party in order to vote in the primary election. Voters should also bring any required identification and materials needed to complete the voting process
