KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — An official says 7 Afghan police have been killed at a checkpoint in Kandahar province.
The official says two guests invited to dinner by an Afghan police commander picked up weapons after the meal late yesterday and opened fire, killing the commander and six of his men. One officer survived the attack and told authorities what happened.
