Solar Plane Exhibit Planned for St. Louis Changed

ST. LOUIS (AP) _ Officials at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport have
changed a planned exhibit for a solar-powered plane because of storm damage the
airport sustained Friday.

Several support buildings and hangars at the airport were damaged in the storm,
requiring changes to exhibit plans for the Solar Impulse aircraft.

The aircraft is scheduled to arrive at Lambert late Monday or early Tuesday.
The airport said in a release Sunday that several days of public and private
events have been scheduled around the high-tech solar powered plane.

Airport officials say that the instead of using one of Lambert’s hangars, the
solar aircraft will use its own prototype inflatable hangar in the same general
area of the airport’s hangar. The schedule of events has yet to be released.
