Keokuk Fire Department used three-hundred gallons of water to extinguish a vehicle that caught fire on Monday afternoon, at the 300 block of 61 By-Pass.
The owner had recently retrieved the vehicle, after it was stolen, from a local salvage yard.
The vehicle engine was fully engulfed and is considered a total loss but is insured.
