The Kansas City Royals suffered their first loss of the American League Championship Series, losing to the Toronto Blue Jays 11-8. They play again tonight.
The Chicago Cubs meet with the New York Mets at home for the third game in the National League Championship series tonight. Cubs are trying to eat in to the Mets 2-0 series lead.
The Western Illinois University football team has something to celebrate. The Leathernecks are ranked in the FCS coaches poll for the first time since 2010. They’re ranked 23rd in the coaches poll and 20th in the media poll. Leathernecks are 4-2 overall and 3-0 in conference play.
St. Louis Blues visit the Montreal Canadiens tonight in the NHL.
And the first round of the regional volleyball tournaments start tonight for Region 7 in both class 1A and 2A. In non tournament action it will be Burlington hosting Bettendorf, Keokuk hosting Fairfield, and Fort Madison hosting Washington.
