Weather Service: Two Inches of Snow Fall in Burlington, Parts of Iowa Hit With Over a Foot

When the storm was officially put in the books yesterday, Burlingtonians slogged through two inches of snow while going about their Saturday activities, but some Iowa residents are digging out from under more than a foot of snow, while roads over a majority of the state remain impassable or partially blocked.

Officials say the heaviest snow fell between around Highway 20 in the Cedar Falls and Waterloo areas.

Intense cold persists throughout the state. In Burlington temps aren’t expected to get up past 34, dipping to 25 tonight.
