Burlington Police stopped a burglary in progress early Wednesday morning, after being dispatched to a report of a man breaking into a home-owner’s garage.
Arriving on the scene. at 1712 S. 15th St., in Burlington, at 5:28 a.m., police found Trenton Michael Brown, age 20, of Burlington, allegedly attempting to take items from the garage.
Brown attempted to flee the area but was arrested and charged with Burglary in the 3rd degree, a class D felony, and interference with official acts.
Brown is being held in the Des Moines County Correctional Center on a $5,000 bond.
