West Burlington’s Volleyball team was swept at the hands of #2 Holy Trinity in three games to open their season yesterday. Burlington High School was also swept by Davenport Assumption. Wapello fell to Wilton in two, Notre Dame also fell to Wilton in two, but beat Central Lee in two during the consolation round, also taking wins from Keota and English Valleys. Fairfield beat Keokuk in three.
The Burlington girls swimming team fell to Davenport Central 128-54.
St. Louis Cardinals beat Milwaukee 10-2. Chicago Cubs beat Pittsburgh 4-1. Kansas City Royals beat Tampa 6-2. Minnesota Twins over the Chicago White Sox 6-4.
