Antron Burnett
34 year old Antron Burnett was arrested on Wednesday around 5:30 in the evening, by the Burlington Police Department. Court records show that a warrant had been issued for Burnett on allegations that he fraudulently collecting unemployment insurance payments from the State of Iowa.
Burnett is charged with fraudulent practices in the first degree after Iowa Workforce Development filed a complaint in the Des Moines County Courts. According to the report, Burnett collected eighty weeks of unemployment, totaling $23,791 between December 29th, 2013 and January 6th, 2018.
Burnett was held at the Des Moines County Jail on $5000 cash bond. If convicted he would face up to ten years in prison for a class “C” felony. He will make his initial court appearance July 6th.
