A traffic stop near Warsaw in Hancock County has resulted in a major drug bust.
The Hancock County Sheriff’s office says that 36 year old Jason Sprague from Hamilton Illinois was the passenger in a car that was the subject of a traffic stop on Tuesday at 11:20 PM. A K-9 alerted authorities to illegal drugs in the vehicle. A search found cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms, cannabis over 700 grams, THC, related products over 100 grams, and prescription medication, all packaged for sale and delivery.
A subsequent search of Sprague residence turned up more illegal drugs, money and a firearm. Sprague is being held in the Hancock County Jail awaiting his court appearance.
The Investigation was conducted by the Hancock County MRT consisting of Law Enforcement Officers from Hamilton Police Department, Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, Hancock County Sheriff’s Reserve, and Warsaw Police.
