Kathryn Ann Anderson, 74, of Burlington, died at 9:00 PM Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born April 9, 1939, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Wallace F. and Miriam E. Pauly Hoffman Magee. On April 29, 1972, she married Bill B. Anderson at Oak Street Baptist Church in Burlington.  He died July 15, 2004.

Kay had worked at IRC for five years.

She enjoyed reading, playing cards, mushroom hunting, her pets and watching nature at her country home.  She liked cooking and baking and used those joys for a couple of years in her restaurant, Kay’s Kitchen, in Mediapolis.

Survivors include one sister, Judy (Bob) Adams of Burlington.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

The Graveside Committal Service and Interment for Mrs. Anderson will be 11:00 AM, Friday, April 11, 2014, at Aspen Grove Cemetery with Pastor Melisa Bracht-Wagner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for First United Methodist Church and Great River Hospice.

Thielen Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
