Henderson County authorities are warning people of a scam in our listening area.
They say that today in the Biggsville area, two white males who were reportedly driving a white Chevy truck, stopped at the home of an elderly person and told he/she that their power box was sparking. The men then asked for a large amount of money.
This is the first time authorities have heard of this sort of scam and are encouraging people that if you get a knock at the door from someone you don’t know, either don’t answer it, or ask for identification.
Officials believe the suspects are from southern Missouri but are staying in our area for now. If you have any information please contact the Henderson County Police Department or your local police department.
We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
