BHS Golfers Tie Bettendorf, but Lose on 5th Score

In boys high school golf yesterday…

 

Bettendorf and Burlington both shot 329’s at the Clinton Invitational, but Bettendorf won a 5th score tie-breaker to take the trophy yesterday.   Jared Hoelzen shot a 77, Jace Mueller an 80 for the Grayhounds.

 

Jacob Wetzel carded a 40 for West Central, as the Heat placed third behind Macomb and Monmouth-Roseville at Gibson Woods. Macomb’s Graham Conrad won medalist honors with a 35 to lead his team to a 154 total…Monmouth-Roseville’s team score was 160…and West Central shot a 180.

The GolfWeek Conference Challenge continues at Spirit Hollow with Iowa in third place behind LSU and SMU.
