In Lee County, all the same statewide races and judicial retention votes that there are in Des Moines County exist…and there’s no competition for State Representative, District 83; that’s Democrat Jerry Kearns.
None of the county office-holders have competition either — Treasurer Chris Spann…Recorder Nancy Booten…and County Attorney Michael Short…are all Democrats. There are no races for Washington Township Trustee…Warren Rickelman…or Twp. Clerk…Larry Buechel…..but there will be an odd man…or woman…out…in the 6-way race for Lee County Agricultural Extension Council, among Steven Newberry, Tricia Knipper, Vicki Kokjohn, Kala Anderson, Rick Tebbs and Tom Mohrfeld.
