Local authorities have charged a Mediapolis man arrested recently for Burglary, with several additional burglaries going back to October and November.
27-year old Josh Melton…originally picked up for a break-in last February…has now been formally accused of burglaries October 20th at 503 Columbia Street and 15-05 Middle Street in Mediapolis; in both cases the residents were home at the time…..and another break-in November 13th at 302 Middle Street, also in Mediapolis.
Des Moines County Sheriff’s detectives continue to hold out hope that Melton is the burglar who came to be known as “The Mediapolis Marauder,” believed to have committed dozens of break-ins earlier this year.
