A Mount Pleasant man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting two Des Moines County Sheriff’s Deputies as they attempted to arrest him.
Deputies were called Sunday to the 300 block of Cedar in Mediapolis to a report that a man was being unruly and threatening at a home in that block. When the deputies arrived they found 31 year old Charles Dean, who was uncooperative, and attempted to spit on, kick, and bite the deputies as they attempted to arrest him.
Dean was taken to the Des Moines County jail and charges with two counts of Assaulting a Peace Officer, and one count of Interference with official acts.
