Bees Rally to Sweep Home Series

The Burlington Bees played their first day game of the year yesterday and rallied to beat the Bowling Green(OH) Hot Rods 5-4.

 

The victory means a series sweep for the Bees, who host a 3-game series with the Dayton Dragons beginning tonight at 6:30.   You can hear the game on KBUR, beginning at 6:10 with Michael Broskoski.

 

BHS Alumnus Tim Goodwin is coming back to take the Activities Director and Associate Principal’s job.  Goodwin, for the past eight years the Activities and Athletic Director at Muscatine High School, will replace Tom Plein, who is retiring at the end of this school year.

 

It’s official — Western Illinois University head men’s basketball coach Jim Molinari is leaving the Macomb school to become an assistant under Tim Miles at Nebraska.

 

SCC guard Jordan Stevens has been named to the NJCAA Division-1 All-American first team.  The sophomore averaged 19.2 points-per-game this past basketball season, along with 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 assists.
