Three young-people were killed…a fourth seriously injured…early this(Thur) morning in a one-car crash south of Macomb.
The victims have been identified as the 21-year old driver…Gabrielle Yocum of Springfield & Macomb…and two of her passengers…Cassie Roberts, also 21 and from Macomb…and 23-year old Cedric Huffman of Bushnell & Macomb. A third passenger…23-year old Justin Beer…was taken to OSF Hospital in Peoria.
Troopers say the 2010 Jeep was headed west on North 900th Road…just west of East 1000th Road…shortly after 2 o’clock this(Thur) morning when the SUV left the roadway on the north side…drove more than 200 feet through a ditch…and struck a tree, then an embankment. All four victims were wearing their seatbelts.
Deputies, paramedics and EMT’s from McDonough County…Colchester…Macomb…and Emmet-Chalmers all assisted at the scene.
