The Burlington City Council has postponed…for the second time…approval of a state grant application for millions-of-dollars in flood mitigation projects.
City Manager Jim Ferneau says the delay is a good thing — the State and the City’s grant writer are telling Burlington it can…and should…apply for several million more.
The grant…from the Iowa Flood Mitigation Fund…is competitive, but Ferneau told the Council another week isn’t going to matter…..
The Council last(Mon) night went along with the recommendation.
