It’s all over for the Burlington Greyhounds Soccer team. Their season ended last night at the Class 3A Substate Tournament as they fell to Ottumwa 2-0. Fort Madison’s boys found victory Substate, winning 5-2 over Washington on the road. Mount Pleasant also fared well at the expense of Keokuk, 4-1. Notre Dame West Burlington also fell at substate to Holy Trinity, 4-0.
Softball season officially opened up last night and the West Burlington Notre-Dame Lady Falcons opened in a big way. Kori Mescher threw a no-hitter to put the Lady hawks up 16-0 over Danville.
The Burlington Bees had a stellar game against the Beloit Snappers last night, they won 15-6 with 2nd Basemen Andrew Daniel batting in a total of seven runs.
St Louis Cardinals beat Arizona 6-4. Chicago Cubs over Washington 3-2. White Sox fell to Toronto 10-9. Royals lost to the Yankees 5-1.
