Fort Madison, Ia – Voters in the Fort Madison School District have voted to approve a levy for community school district improvements.
In a special election for the measure held on Tuesday, the unofficial election results show that voters approved the levy by a vote of 734 to 339.
The vote establishes an annual levy of $1.34 for every $1,000 of assessed valuation of taxable property for a period of 10 years.
