Multiple Keokuk residents arrested on drug charges

Keokuk, Ia-  The Lee County Narcotics Task Force has reported the arrests of multiple Keokuk residents on felony and misdemeanor drug charges.

59-year-old Kenneth Howell of Keokuk was arrested on Thursday, May 6th 2021, at his residence in the 1100 block of Concert Street in Keokuk.

Howell was charged with Delivery of over 5 grams of Methamphetamine, 2nd or subsequent offense; Possession with Intent to Deliver less than 5 grams of methamphetamine, 2nd of subsequent offense; Drug tax Stamp Violation, Maintaining a Drug House, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Pills, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Two Keokuk Juveniles were also arrested on Friday, May 7th 2021 at HyVee in Keokuk.  The two juveniles were charged with Possession with intent to deliver Marijuana, Drug Tax Stamp Violation, Maintaining a Drug House, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Pills, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

The arrest of Kenneth  Howell stems from an ongoing multi-agency investigation of Howell selling methamphetamine throughout the southeast Iowa area.

The arrests of the two juveniles stem from a search warrant conducted in reference to Kenneth Howell’s investigation.
