LaHarpe, Il- Authorities have announced a LaHarpe, Illinois man has died following a motorcycle crash.
According to the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, on Sunday, May 16th, 2021, at about 2:20 PM the Hancock County 911 center received a report of a motorcycle crash on Illinois Highway 9/94 about half a mile east of the intersection with County Road 2150 East.
The crash involved a single motorcycle with a single rider. A Preliminary investigation shows that witnesses saw the crash and say that the bike wobbled, and the rider lost control which caused it to go down into its side.
The rider was identified as 56-year-old Daniel Ayer of LaHarpe, Illinois. Ayer suffered major injuries from the crash and was later pronounced dead at Memorial Hospital in Carthage Illinois.
