Elvaston, Il- On person was killed in a single-vehicle crash Monday in Hancock County.
According to Illinois State Police, a 2004 Chevrolet van driven by 36-year-old Joshua Frakes of Elvaston was traveling north on South East Street, about a quarter of a mile south of US-136 in Elvaston.
Frakes lost control of the vehicle and overturned it. Frakes was ejected from the vehicle and died from his injuries at the scene.
A passenger in the vehicle, 23-year-old Melissa Rhodes of Elvaston was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, and no further information was released.
