Two vehicle crash leaves Missouri man dead

Macomb, Ill-  Illinois state police have released details of a two-vehicle accident that left one person dead, and several injured.

According to a preliminary report, a Black 2017 Ford Mustang, driven by an unnamed 86 year old man from Eldon MO, was traveling eastbound on County Road 1150N approaching the US 67 intersection.  At the same time, a 2016 Chevy Equinox driven by 61-year-old Pamela Peterson of Beardstown, Ill, along with 3 passengers, was going southbound on US 67 approaching County Road 1150N.

The Mustang failed to stop at the intersection and struck Peterson’s vehicle.

The driver of the Mustang was pronounced deceased on the scene by the McDonough County Coroner.  Peterson and all three passengers were transported to an area hospital with injuries.
