Burlington, IA- The Burlington Public Works Directors Office has announced that due to a scheduling issue, the dates for the 2023 seal coat resurfacing project have changed.
According to a news release, Wednesday, October 4, 2023, and Thursday, October 5, 2023, the prime/tack coat will be applied. At this time the streets will be closed for 12 to 24 hours to all traffic.
The chip seal will be done early the following day. Once the rock chips are applied, the street will be opened and the no parking signs removed.
Work on certain streets will be phased for the most convenient available access to homes. Door hangers will be put out on these phased streets giving more detail in the scheduling.
Timing will be dependent on the weather conditions.
