Burlington, IA- A Des Moines woman was issued a citation for marijuana possession in Des Moines County.
According to a news release, on Monday, September 13th, a Des Moines County Deputy stopped a vehicle on US 34 near Boundary Ave, for a traffic violation.
Deputies identified the driver as 44-year-old Valerie McDaniel, of Des Moines. While the deputy was speaking with McDaniel, he could smell the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted which produced approximately 10 grams of marijuana.
McDaniel was given a summons to appear for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
